A Double Dose of Libra...something needs balancing?

April 19, 2019 / 7:12 AM EDT  The Pink Moon

Hard not to think of the melancholy of Nick Drake's songwriting with the thought of Pink Moon.  A haunting reference has been offered by "Turn me on, Dead Man," a now retired internet radio station:  "...fundamental to the moon's imagery is that, with some notable exceptions, the moon is fairly universally regarded as feminine. Coloring the moon pink seems to be doubling down on the feminine imagery of the moon. In this light "Pink Moon" could be seen as a song about irresistable-if perhaps unattainable-beauty."

Sounds a lot like Libra imagery, doesn't it?

Think...balance / compromise / justice / and yes...beauty

Let's think of it as the Moon in her pink mode reverberating with the energy of balance and the aesthetics of beauty...not her strong suit, might you say?  We see her most often as the mistress of the dark night (and of the soul, too).  So what makes this full moon different?  What is the influence of the Pink Moon as we observe the image of her leaning over to take the hand of the Sun who sits opposite her each time we witness a full moon?  Usually the Moon patiently and passively feels her wholeness and brightness in a place of what we may wish to call a "surrender" of sorts.  She has no light of her own and depends upon the Sun to illuminate her.  It may be a good time to remind ourselves...surrender does not mean giving up.  Rather, it most powerfully means a letting go to allow the energy of life to flow...evenly...completely... even confidently and compassionately.   All of those words are good talismans to keep with us as we (hopefully) float through this second dose of Libran Moon energy this April.

The Universe urges us to sit up and take notice...how can we best integrate the murky moonshadows of ourselves with the power of our brilliantly lit selves...and let's not forget this includes our fellow human beings, as well...

...hmm...can we think of Pink as a negotiated balance (Libra energy) of Red energy (Aries aggressive and warrior energy) so prevalent in our collective conversations and interactions...and how fitting...these two Zodiac signs sit opposite themselves on the mandala of the zodiac circle...integration at work...beauty wrapped in strength...good medicine.ðŸŒ
